The Kitschies are an annual prize presented to the year's best genre literature. The award seeks out the most progressive, intelligent and entertaining novels that contain elements of the fantastic and speculative. Last year's winner, Lauren Beukes, returns in 2011 as part of the judging panel, alongside editor Rebecca Levene and bloggers Anne C. Perry and Jared Shurin.
